Find Your Pot of Gold This St. Patrick’s Day

It is that time of the year again to break out the shamrocks and get ready to enjoy all of the fun traditions that St. Patrick’s Day has to offer. Celebrating the holiday may be a little bit different this year with COVID-19 restrictions still in place in many areas, but that just means there is an opportunity to get creative with your plans. Here are five great ways to spend St. Patrick’s Day as a cannabis lover.

1.   Movie Marathon

How better to spend this St. Patrick’s Day staying safe and relaxed than with an Irish movie marathon? Pick up some of your favorite Denver Dispensary products, like our Strawberry Crunch Bar, and settle in for a day of great movies. If you are in a serious mood, queue up some of your Boston crime favorites like The Departed, The Town, or Black Mass and spend the day with some of your favorite villains like Frank Costello and Whitey Bulger. If you are looking for a more lighthearted day at the movies, look for comedy classics like In Bruges starring Colin Farrell, or Waking Ned Devine. Or, feel free to go the TV route and binge classic episodes of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia or Peaky Blinders.

2.   Get Outside

One of the best parts of St. Patrick’s Day is the date. This time of the year usually means that we are finally getting a break from the dark and cold days of winter. Find a local hiking trail or a park and spend the day enjoying some of nature’s green with friends or family. Cannabis flowers or a spiked beverage would make a perfect accompaniment for a day that is spent (hopefully) in the sun.

3.   Cannabis Cookery

St. Patrick’s Day is the source of plenty of great eating and drinking, whether it’s corned beef and cabbage, Irish soda bread, Guinness stew or green beer. There are plenty of ways to introduce cannabis into your classic Irish food regiment if you are looking to loosen up this March 17. Consider making a batch of your favorite recipe with a THC twist.

4.   Make Your Own Tradition

Some of the best holiday experiences tend to be surprises, like spending St. Patrick’s Day in a new place and learning different traditions. If the standard menu of St. Patrick’s Day offerings doesn’t interest you, feel free to make the holiday your own with friends or family. This could be as simple as cooking a special recipe or playing a board game with friends. Are frisbee golf and green pre-rolls a St. Patrick’s Day tradition? They are now.

5.   Take In The Tunes

One of the undersung heroes of St. Patrick’s Day and Irish culture in general is the music and the dancing. It is always easy to find a local band playing Irish music around this time of the year, and what better way to support the cause and have some fun? Search out a local event that brings people together for a little song and dance, and don’t forget to loosen up your feet with some of Denver Dispensary’s finest flowers or concentrates.
